Exactly Frank, I did make one change in I sanded the last 3 inches down and rounded off the edges on both ends so it would slide under the lip of the hatch thus preventing it from popping out if accidentally hit.
Mine fits real snug and even if hit, the rubber cups on the feet would keep it from popping out. I had to remove the port hatch grab handle to get the stairs completely up to allow the head door to open wide. Sure makes the aft "stateroom" easy to get in and out of.
