The Newport folk Festival has an interesting lineup this year including Jimmy Buffet. Google pictures of the venue seem to show excellent proximity to the stage from the water off Fort Adams. Has anyone anchored off Fort Adams for a show? We have a swing keel so we should be able to get in pretty close. Is anyone else on the forum planning to be there?

SV Lysistrata will be there! Probably going to stay put in the proper anchorage though! It gets fairly crowded out in front of Fort Adams and the sound is better on WMVY anyway. Bring plenty of beer! true story, a lobster boat with a bunch of young folks aboard pulled up next to us and anchored during the festival a few years back and asked if we had any beer. We wound up trading 8 beers for 4 lobsters! Cooked em up right then and there!

Maybe it's just cuz of the time of day but I really thought this thread was gonna be about food. Ya know, buffet as in all you can eat!
