I've seen several threads about the pop top covers, but are there any covers that are just screens? SC is usually too hot to want to enclose openings and stifle any potential air flow, but a screen that would cover the pop top and hatchway might be useful.

You could just drape the top with fabric screen/mosquito netting. I know one person who had a sailmaker replace windows with screen and then added roll up windows and roll up canvas covers.

One time when I was going to go for an overnighter, I was considering what I had at home that could help to keep bugs out of the cabin when the pop top was up. I remembered I had a mosquito net for my son for when he went camping with the boy scouts. Sometimes they went where they used a lean-to and so did not have a tent with built-in mesh screen. It was a mosquito net purchased many years ago from a camping store. Turns out that when I fitted it over the pop top, it was a perfect fit. I used some large office paper clamps to bunch up and contain the netting where the pop top rests against the mast.

So, I would check with a sporting goods/camping store and see if they offer dimensions for the netting. On the web, I would try "Campmor". They are a large store in the northern New Jersey/New York border area on Rte 17 but do a lot of business via their catalog sales and the web.

Here is the discussion from a previous thread:

bug screens

I draped my screens over the pop-top to watch an hour of skyrockets on Saturday, July 5th, just before the BIG FIREWORKS of a thunderstorm made me batten down the hatches.

First no wind, then too much wind!

I bought a tent sized bug net from a camping store for $39
I drape it over the boom and it covers the entire cockpit and cabin top.
I also have a bug screen velcroed over the forward hatch.
