You may access the ballot also by logging into the Assn Members Area (in the top right corner of this page)
If you have any issues with the system please do not hesitate to contact me. All of my contact details are on the ballot pages and you can always send me an email by clicking on the 'britinusa' link of this post.
I tried to vote, but I don't remember my logon credentials for access to the site. I remember going through this once before when Kevin was secretary, are the member credentials different from site credentials?
The online Ballot System uses the email address that you most recently supplied when applying/renewing your membership to the Association.
I guessed that several folks would have changed their email address since then and included a method off voters sending me info that would allow me to find their member record based on other information.
If the old email address is still active but is forwarded to your new address, the system will work fine, just use the old email address in the Key Request process.
So far there has only been one case of a member voting that was not in the data that I have and I was able to confirm their membership by other means.
There have been several members that had obsolete emails, and they were easily corrected.
If you experience any issues in the voting, please contact myself or any of the current Officers of the association.

Yo Dave when was last time you owned a sailboat, let alone a Catalina?
Dave and our Commodore would love it if C25-Observer was just one person. The ID and blog is shared by a few contributors who weigh in when the mood strikes. They are a concerned and irreverent group of C25 owners (<b>owners</b> Dave).
As for the comment above, Bill Meinert allowed (urged?) Dave and the others he lists above to attack John Gisondi, who posts under “Peregrine” then he locked the thread before John could respond.
In anybody’s book that is working the forum to get the results he wants.

"Bill Meinert allowed (urged?) Dave and the others he lists above to attack John Gisondi" Unmitigated BS! The officers all have their OWN opinions and all agree that John G is a disrupting factor.

Well, I just got an e-mail from John Gisondi... Apparently he doesn't like my revealing his identity, so he's gonna work me over a little more on his blog. Again, if you're interested in who this guy is and how he relates to people and organizations, take a look--I haven't. I already know.
Finally...a legitimate criticism of Dave Bristle: he misspelled a word.
Congratulations C25 observer, you have once again ruined a pleasurable foray onto my favorite web site.
You have your own website, and according to you, a following. It would benefit everyone if you would understand that your following is on your website, not here. Let us figure out our problems in our own way, and you can figure out your problems, over there, on your website, in your own special way. Over here on this website, we have intelligent thoughtful people who communicate in a respectful, meaningful manner. This is the difference between anarchy and progress.
I will participate in the vote because this is the best sailing website on the internet and because of the quality of the people here and despite the fact that as such, we attract some undesirables.
Posted by <b>Arlyn Stewart</b>; <i>"The association has some history of the issue you describe and <b>the destructive nature of it when leaders activities are funded by the membership dime.</b> I give notice to leaders who may go that route that <b>I'll personally be very vocal in opposing any dues increases for the purpose of funding racing or cruising interest of a few members.</b>
I further oppose dropping the Mainsheet subscription so that funds might be diverted to special interest individuals.
I urge the remaining leadership team not to take the association this direction as it will be very destructive to the association.
Arlyn C-250 W/B #224"</i>
This is the central issue that I have consistently worked on. Arlyn knows how the racers, <b>including the current Commodore </b> tried to use the Association to further their own interests. They used their power to restrict voting to attendance to the so called "Nationals" and tried to raise dues to pay for trips to Nationals, it was fought and defeated. Now by restricting the association governance to the forum they again try to keep the voices of the PAYING members to a minimum. In this thread you can see how they tried again to use the association for their own purposes. I continue to fight for the equal voice of every PAYING MEMBER, racer or cruiser and make this assoc. an asset to all.
From <b>Jim Baumgart</b> Former Commodore and <b>Current Commodore Nominee</b>;
<i>"I don't favor a dues increase. When I was Commodore we had something like $14,000 in the bank. That is way too much. We spent some on the web redesign. Run the association as is, with dues as they are or even lower them until this huge excess of $$$ is run down to normal levels (something like $1000).
<b>Face it, the Nationals will die out. No one is racing C25s. They are not race boats. They are not even good cruising boats. </b>They are great day sailers that can be cruised if you don't mind being crowded and slow or raced if you don't mind being the last boat in."</i>
Jim has been Commodore of the Association and understands that racing our boats is marginal at best. I disagree with his opinion of the Mainsheet but he doing more with his boat than any other owner that posts on the forum and will bring a measured approach to the association.

Edit: I withdraw my analogy. As Brooke said elsewhere, I don't have a dog in this fight but I do have a threshold for what is acceptable. I visited the much-mentioned website and it certainly exceeded my afore mentioned threshold. This anonymous individual may have point somewhere but the style prevents due consideration. As my father always said: it is not enough to be right, you can easily make yourself wrong.
J.B.Manley: while I would second your message of "glad you are working in the system" as a general rule, the fact that three more posts were made "there" after your message makes one wonder if your message was understood. They will have to make up their own mind where they want to play. You cannot ask to be part of the system and have the right to lob stinkpots from the outside (no, not powerboats, look up the origin)

You need to take a closer look at the what has been said and what the topic is. The topic is Officer Elections on an open Ballot. One of the candidates is posting under what I understand to be two different names. Please correct me if I am mistaken.
