HELP, I am a new Cat 25 sailor (1980 Swing Keel, std mast). Was out on my second sail when the end cap of my port spread flew out. I have been to both West Marine and Boat US with no luck in finding a replacement and they were out of suggestions.

Thanks, Newbie Louis

Hi Louis,

Welcome to the group!

If you ever find any, please let me know where you got them. Instead of end caps I'm using wraps of duct tape.

Hi Louis... I'd start by calling Catalina Direct in CA--get their number at www.catalinadirect.com. While you're at it, if you don't already have it, you might want to get one of their $10 C-25 handbooks--it's mostly a catalog, but has lots of info. They're good people to deal with.

Welcome to the group Louis. The end cap for the spreader is a "dedicated" part. I'd call the factory in Woodland Hills CA.

Thanks one all for you quick response and input. Called Catalina Direct (thanks Dave) and they had endcaps in stock and in the mail.

Fair winds and following seas, Louis

I feel a setup coming on ... no, Steve, I'm not ... what is the ADTC?

Buzz... Your sense of smell is good--but I'm not saying a word. <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>
