I have my "Navy Too" stored in my shop for the winter on it's trailer. I want to put on new bottom coat. But I can't figure out for sure how to lift the boat off the long bunks that support most of the boat, to paint in those areas. I can borrow a large air operated hydraulic floor jack I can use to lift the back of the boat up at the transom, but this won't get it all the way off the bunks. I don't have any stands for the boat, although I would like to have some built for future use. To this end I could use some measurements for a C250. I assume I will have to alternately raise the front and back of the boat off the trailer bunks. Also, where is the safe lifting points on this 2004 C250WB? Thanks - Roger

Hi Roger,

I documented the procedure to raise a 250WB. Click here.

I can attest that this raising system does an excellent job and I can raise it every year for a fresh coat of VC-17.

Thanks Steve, for the information and pictures. It will come in very handy, as I want to get the bottom painted this fall before it gets too cold to paint. Stay warm in that northern country. Southern Wisconsin is cold enough for me. Roger
