Yep...Hurricane season is just about over and it's time to winterize. Put the boom and mainsail back on,untie the double lines, clean the green mold off the deck,freshen up the moldy cabin and crank the tunes.... the best sailing months are right around the corner.You guys up north may have to live without your boats in the winter, but I pretty much do the same with mine all summer. Drifting around on a flat calm sea, soaking in sweat until a thunderhead marches up, knocks the rail in the water, dumps on your head and lights you up with staight down lightning is something I've learned to live without.So, while you all do your projects and plan for your season, I'll do my best keep C-250 in the public eye.
I have to agree. Thank goodness the heat has departed. I was out last week and I couldn't believe the sensation of moving air that I felt. I looked it up and discovered that it is called wind and if used with more skill than I have, can actually propel the boat through the water.
We used ours a little over the summer but man is it hot out there.
