I have a 1998 250 WB and one of the interior bulbs needs replacement. The fixtures have three bulbs, two white and one red, and I need a red bulb. Can I change the original filament type with an LED? WM has LED but I can not find the filament type anywhere.

I replaced all of mine with leds, both the white and red. Got them from this place. I've had them in there a couple years now and no problems.

Just a note of warning. Don't over do it. Some of these LEDs can be VERY bright, too bright for the cabin interior in fact. There are different colors like pure white (daylight) and warm glow (like a normal home bulb). Personally I like the warm glow for the cabin interior. The incandescent stock bulbs that come with the boat are warm glow. I just don't want to feel like I'm inside a K-Mart.

Tom, what model LEDs do you use? Do you have a red unit in each light fixture?

I can't remember to model, but it was the biggest I could find that would fit. I did have to bend the tangs out a little to get the LEDS to fit. I have two whites and a red in each light. (except the spot lights over the table area). I tried both the amber and then the white. Although the amber is warmer they did not put out enough light as the whites.

If you want I can take a pic and also count the leds in each festoon, if it would help you. I recall measuring the length of my normal festoon and then ordering the LED that was the closest in size and had the most LEDs.

Thanks Tom, that should be enough info. I didn't know that I could replace the spot lights over the table. That is good to know.
