After loosing most of the summer last year, working on 0029 came to a screeching halt. A few warm days and I was able to paint the engine room this spring. So I finally got the engine installed. This represents a huge milestone. It represents permanently installing something and the boat is officially going back together. I tried to install the engine last weekend but found a part was not installed correctly (not by me) so I had to disassemble the engine and fix it. So yesterday, the engine went in. Snug fit.
The bilge blower and sink through hull are close buddies in the locker here. The through hull is glued in with 5200. The nice thing about these vales are they can be disassembled and rebuilt without removing the king nut from the hull. They are from Forespar and we know how good that company is. No plywood to rot and no corrosion to worry about. The engine room is partitioned off so it meets Coast Gaurd Regs. The blower discharges air out the port side clam shell overboard.
