At least she said she prayed about me before she asked for my bank account number! Funny how this person from the Ivory Coast has a Chinese (yahoo.cn) e-mail address????

If I report this to my ISP as a spammer, will that result in them thinking that the Association is the spammer or my dear new benefactor from the Ivory Coast?

send the email addy to 419eater.com then report it a couple day later. Just give yahoo the email addy and they will do th erest. When th eaccount is shut down the spammer will just open a new one.

The "reply to" is them, but the actual sender is "us". I'd be careful about that.

EDIT: My spam filter caught this latest one (and the one before it). I just tested sending something to myself through the association, and it got through. YMMV.

The email headers link to a sender in Scttsdale Arizona. I have to assume that is the forum's computer. You won't trace this one down. Remember these are 13 year olds who really don't understand ethics or care about you. They are paid by others who recruit them the same way a drug lord would recruit kids to traffik or stand on street corners dealing.

You may cut the kid off, but he will just start up a new email addy. Even if they traced down the actual computer these were sent from, it will be in an internet cafe, and they wouldn't be able to nail down the individual user.

The most effective way to shut them down is to make an example of them... say like this: http://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=165625
