I say POO on this weather we've been having in the northeast. I'm pretty sure this is what Noah felt like, but our boats aren't nearly 300 x 50 cubits!

Poo on all of this rain, I tell you! Poo, I say!

Some of us are old enough to remember that reference to a Bill Cosby comedy record . . . .
I hear in Southern CT we're supposed to get a glimpse of that round shiny ball in the sky tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, the rest of the US is hot, dry, sweltering and boiling in the summer heat.

I just read in the paper that we have had 19 days of rain this month out of 21. People in Seattle are laughing at us! Double Poo!

I have low spots in my yard.....mowing right now would make it look like a Jeep Jamboree came through....Except for a few places it's getting to 8+inches... (grass, not water). If and when it dries up I'll have my work cut out for me....

My back acre is low, and some years I can't cut it until July. The good news is that lawn grasses stop at about 2 feet. :-)

The other day we received 4 1/2 inches of rain in 2 hours! The following night we got another inch. We have also had more wind than we know what to do with. Last Monday (racing night) it was supposed to be 3-5 mph. As we pulled out of the marina and into open water it was blowing 16-20! Some days when we just want to casually sail it has been in the mid twenties! What a Spring.

I trade you 50/50. We've had 27 straight days without a drop and the temperature is running in the upper 90's with the heat index 103-108.

They're saying no rain in the next 7 - 10 days. Send your overflow my way please.

As my son and I were returning up the river Sunday late afternoon, what do you think we saw poking out between some clouds?

While I don't like the cool and the rain, it beats 110 temps with 80 degree dew points!

Had to do some outdoor work this morning. A perfect 28°C and light breezes. The only problem was the work part.

74 degrees and sunny here. Going for a sail after work and temperature should be around 80 with wind 10 - 15MPH.

Sailed Iris across the lake last night. Nice breeze, good temperature, arrived at my destination an hour later than planned, it was great!

Whatever... Every day is Saturday here in Mystic. This weekend is the Wooden Boat Show--a spectacular gathering of gorgeous vessels from big antique yawls and commuter boats to inlaid kayaks. We're supposed to have some sun tomorrow and Sunday.

Actualy I go out to Oyster Bay rain or shine.
I have made the mistake of sitting home watching the weather improve.
With a rain canopy I'm snug as a bug even in heavy rains.
In some ways being out there in weather is a treat, plenty of projects below decks that don't get done on sunny days and at least two weeks of the New Yorker to catch up on.
Mystic's wooden boat show is probably the best there is. We get a few beauties at the Oyster Bay show but nothing like that.
Well worth the trip if you any where near.

Have only been able to muster three very short sails so far this season because of the rain. The one day that finally did have decent sun/weather was cut short because of all the yard chores that HAD to be done before the next (our current) wet mist/rain. Meanwhile, I was in Dallas last week and they were appologising for sunny HOT weather! Send it back East -- please!!!
