Next week my new boat is being lifted out and hauled to a friends backyard. I have a few questions I'm sure you all can answer.

1. They are going to pressure wash the bottom when they lift out the boat. Won't they "miss" some spots since the straps will be in the way? If so, will it be a pain to clean those spots after they've dried?

2. We're putting the boat on adj. stands and 6x6's under the keel. Any do's or don'ts?

3. We intend to clean and repaint the bottom. Is there a safe way to move stands out of the way to get all the spots? How do you get to the keel to scrape and paint since you can't drop it down?

Thank you for all your help.

I don't know what "they" will do. But I did mine I moved the straps after washing so that I could get to the bottom that was under the strap. That also allowed me to wash the bottom.

When I put the boat back in the water in the spring I reversed the process and lifted the boat and took care of the area under the pad and the bottom of the boat.

This all worked for me and was cooridinated with the others in the club. It doesn't work like that at marina where I winter store. Our lake does not have hoists and the boats are launched on trailers. So, once on the trailer (or, in my case the cradle) the boat is down). I haven't tried lift the boat on the trailer's jack stands and not sure how that would work. I'd be interested in other c25er's experiences.
