Has any one had experience getting into the tail lite housing on a Trailrite dual tandem trailer [1995] vintage. It appears to be sealed. I can see a bulb in there and the bulb appears to be the reason the left hand signal is not working. I have power to the housing.
I had some that were glued and wouldn't come apart without breaking. I think you might end up just replacing the whole thing. West Marine has some for around $15. BTW I always, when I remember unplug the lights before submersing because thermal shock has got me several times. TJ
Have you tried to just turn the bulb from the back? Some fixtures are not meant to be opened. The bulb just turns a 1/4 turn and comes out of the housing like in newer cars.
Just an update, after a new housing, new bulb, new connector and power and a good ground still no directional or brake light. Took it to the local dealer [U-Haul] who installed the hitch and harness.Didn't take them long, internal block coming off directional lights was only allowing about 6 volts back to the light. Yes I had power but not 12 volts worth. Worth the $40.00 and no more aggravation.
