Thought I'd share this with you. We ran into this Yellow Pearson 26 on the lake Saturday, turns out they video taped my Catalina 25, Stephanos. Apparently, these guys have a plan to circumnavigate the globe on a Catalina 400.

Yeah, nice guys though. Their head sail is not all the way up either.
I found this comment on their site...

It's been pretty cold here in Dallas lately so we haven't gotten too much time on the lake. Fortunately it was about 60 degrees today so we couldn't pass up the chance to get on the water. During our time on the... lake we even met some guys that we were "racing" that said they had seen the site & thought it was awesome. That was pretty cool. It's too bad that they totally killed us though... none the less they were cool dudes. We took the camera & got some good footage that I added to the media section."

I'd never met them before our encounter on the water Saturday. I've heard about them though. It's nice to see some younger guys that are enthusiastic about sailing.
They really plan on sailing around the world in a Catalina 400.
Its funny what we notice. Fenders in the water, headsail not all the way up. I noticed the genoa sheet wrapped around the winch and cleated off. But they are all thing we have probably done ourselves. It looked like they were enjoying themselves and thats what counts.

Exactly. It's good to see new blood getting into the sport.
