We also went from Hank-Ons to A Harken Furler 00 we love it,got it from Catalina Direct with the forestay included. Admiral would not go back to changing sails on the foredeck, even though she did not mind it. And we travel with our boat.

Now I'm beginning to wonder if I really need the Mark IV. I'm not planning on racing the boat but I like to get every once of performance out of it I can.

I wonder how much performance I would give up by going with the 00AL? I'm betting my sailing abilities (or lack there of) would give up more performance than the switch between a Mark IV and the 00AL!

I'm really starting to get the itch for another Hobie 16. Maybe I'll go with a 00AL and use the Hobie for the performance! Anyone got one for sale in good condition?

We race.. and we found this was all the furler we needed.. we now do more cruising than racing and this is a great unit! Sorry no Hobies though!
