I am celebrating the first anniversary of the acquisition of my Catalina 250WK Wandering Star. I am also close to my first full year of membership in this excellent forum. I read more than I write and ask more than I answer. But no one seems to mind. Thanks to everyone for their expertise

In early March, Sailing Magazine contacted me about a story they wanted to run about sailing on Lake Oahe in the middle of South Dakota. I haven't seen the May issue yet but reliable sources tell me that the photo they asked me to submit is there.

If any of you are located in the central plains and are interested in sailing one of the largest reservoirs in the world, I'd be glad to offer expertise.

I visited your website Scott. I particularly enjoyed the entry called "Sailing the Alps". I learned to sail, on a Catalina 25, in a Bavarian lake southeast of Munich. While the Alps were lovely, the wind was terrible. But still, a fond memory. Thanks for sharing.

Scott,

Thanks for sharing, and congratulations on having your photo published. I enjoyed your blog and thought your photo of "the-perfect-place" was aptly named! Looks like a fantastic place to really get away and enjoy a quiet evening.

I'm thinking that the Cayman Islands would be an even better place to get away to. . .
