Want to install a speedo and need recommendations on where to place the thru hull?

Mine's about 18-24" ahead of the keel leading edge (inside the v-berth storage ahead of the porta-pottie), about 4-6" to port of the center line.

Ditto for mine. If you spring a leak the compartment will contain the water and you won't sink (at least not immediately). I've also got a depth sounder transponder on the other side of the center line.
