i am trying to remember if i saw someone who had a diagram on how to replace impellers on honda 8hp 4 stroke engines.

started the engine today and it started running rough and thats not my the engine.

looked at the discharge spout and nothing coming out.

took off intake sceens and found pieces of black rubber and assume it is the impeller.

the motor is about 5 years old and have never repalced an impeller.

your help is appriciated.

thanks in advance

Dave,
Basically you have to remove the four bolts holding the bottom end on and disconnect the shift shaft where it connects under the engine cover. After that it is pretty straightforward. I sent you an email with some scans and data. Let me know if you do not get it.

Friendly strangers though . . . .

I bought one from an online dealer. My local dealer charges a 25% markup.

And by the way, check this out:
