Even though they most probally not Plexiglas - has anyone found a polish for removing light scratches and oxidation on their portlites? I even seem to have a lite coating of gel coat running down mine!

Some people use toothpaste on a buffer. Can't say how well it will work on stuff coating your ports

We use Scratch Off Optica 4 for the large sliding Lexan cover on our boat. It did a great job of removing scratches and dullness. It is an airplane product. The polishing pads are 4" diameter so to work on a small portlight you might have to go by hand or come up with a smaller pad. There are two pads that are used along with 4 different compounds.

Search for "plexiglass polish" on the Aircraft Specialty and Spruce website. You will see lots of options.

For my plane's windows I use Meguiar's products See http://marinerv.meguiars.com/faq/

I was polishing the gelcoat on Kaija using my 6" buffer and WM's cleaner/polish when I accidentally slipped and buffed a small section of the forward facing windows. I assumed that I would find swirls and scratches but, was amazed to fine a nicely polished, scratch-free surface. I went on to use the polish on the entire surface but, I was still a little wary of the buffer/applicator so I did the rest by hand with a soft cloth. Looks great!
