Which hole do the upper shrouds attach to on the chainplates, the inner hole or outer hole? Mine has 2 holes, same size, on my chainplate. 1979 tall rig.

I think I remember from an old post that tall rigs use the outboard hole, standard rigs the inboard.

Mine are attached to the outer hole, and I use the inner hole on the starboard side for the pennant halyard.
