Was wondering about suggestions for re-installing the wood trim that trims out the cubby on the inside of the coaming (is that the term?)back in the cockpit area. It was loose, cracked, and has been re-glued w/ Gorilla Glue, and refinished. So now... how best to re-attach it... seems like it was just glued in there somehow. Thanks for your help. Jackson lake was still about 90% covered w/ ice when I flew over it on May 17th !... but all clear as of last weekend.
Harbor Freight (or auto body supply stores) sells a heavy duty double faced tape for attaching trim pieces to your car. That's what appears to be holding the coaming trim on my '82. It is about 1" wide and comes in white or black. I'd try that. It's quick, easy, made to be used outdoors, and will give a consistant bond line. Then you might run a small bead of sealer along the top edge to keep the sun and water off it. When the time comes to remove the wood again, it will be easy to cut through.
