I'd call the manufacturer and ask them. Plastics are notoriously difficult to bond. I know I've had little to no luck gluing plastic things back together even with so called plastic epoxy. I've never found a formulation or procedure that had a decent chance of working. Sorry to sound so doom & gloom, but I've been pretty frustrated trying to fix problems like yours. If you do come up with a good solution, please post it so we all learn how.
My experience is similar to David's - I've never found a good plastic solution. The one I haven't tried though is a plastic welder. I have seen some plastic canoes with pretty bad holes/cracks that were repaired using a plastic welder, and they looked really solid.
I know people say all different kinds of things have worked for them in different situations (gorilla glue, plastixc epoxy kits, etc), I suspect the chemical makeup of the plastic itself reacts differs so much from plastic to plastic - and thats why it seems there's no single repair that works consistently.
(I have a broken fridge hinge in my RV that is vexing me right now - because the hinge mounts are plastic...)
Could you cut an access hole in the inner skin and then lay fiberglass and resin on the inside of the outer? Effectively repairng the sking from the inside. Use an access hole cover for the inner skin. Follow that by sandwiching the outer skin between sheets of fiberglass? Sand it smooth and sail away. Man, that sounds easy, probably isn't though. Have no idea if it would work.
