I'll be sailing (friend's 35' boat)from Portland up the coast of Washington and picking my wife up at Port Angeles and cruise into the San Juans. My wife is driving up, so I need to find a place to park her car while we sail. We plan to take the ferry back to Port Angeles from wherever we end up. Does anyone know of a good place to park the car for about 10 days in Port Angeles? I'm going to try the rental car places, but they seem expensive at $10 per day. They do offer some security.
Thanks for you help.

For anyone who makes the trip, there is plenty of parking at the Budget Car Rental lot for $10 per day. You have to talk to the local agent to find out about it as the national office does not have any information. I also found parking for $8, and $6 all fairly close with lots of spaces available. There was parking at Boat Haven Marina several blocks away.
The trip up the coast of Washington and down the straight of Juan de Fuca took so much longer than we planned that we ran out of time and I couldn't sail in the San Juans or Gulf Islands. My wife met me in Port Angeles and we ferried over to Victoria for the day while my friend sailed on to Friday Harbor. Parking at the Red Lion was free for one day and $5 per day after the first day.
It was the roughest sea I have been on. It took a whole day to motor from Astoria to Grays Harbor with the wind on the nose all day. We had two sets of swells, wind waves, and a lot of wind out of the north. We laid over in Grays Harbor for four days, than sailed through to Neah Bay arriving at 6:00 am in the morning. We considered stopping at La Push, but a USCG helicopter had crashed near the channel killing 3.
Gail force winds were predicted for the central and eastern straight, so we waited another day in Neah Bay.
