The oft rumored Fin Keel C250. And it's a 1996 which means that this model was very early in the C250 production.

Here's a shot of the keel.

I wonder how many they made?

We cannot direct the winds but we can adjust our sails.

Rumor?? I posted photographic proof, too! The one I found was also a '96.

Look at the bottom of the keel closely (repairs), click on the link in Randy's post and look at the pics (boat name), then pull up Dave's photos. It's the same boat.

If you go to Randy's link, you'll see it's in Dave's back yard.

Strange that Dave's previous images show 2 stern seats on a 1996 C250 model??

Yup--that's the boat. My pix were taken by me, and I got the hull# (with year) off the hull. I saw her later after the "repairs" and fresh paint. I'm also suspicious it's a tall rig... Whoever picks that one up could be locked in as the perennial C-250 National Champion!

BTW, the Yachtworld photo gallery also shows the catbird seats.

Is that the boat at Norwalk Cove Marina in CT? If so I was two boats away from it all last winter. I did not realize the fin keel was so rare!

This example of a fin 250 (likely a tall rig) is the only one I've heard of but the fin option was on sales brochures for a while later in 1996 but didn't stay on the offering list long and IIRC was removed before the tall rig was.
