I liked the Js! Shamrock and Endeavor are still around... I do see some value in the R&D that goes on, from which we got the wing keel, tapered bending mast, NACA foils for keels and rudders, and a other innovations that are on many production boats now. Whether the wing-sails will do us any good is another matter--they're a little complicated to rig and take down. As for multi-hulls, let's face it--the mono-hull is an anachronism. (An F-28 rates 36 PHRF--over 2 <i>minutes</i> a mile faster than a J-28.)
Anyway, Ellison and his peers will continue playing their games...
