Anyone able/willing to let us rent their C25 trailer to move from one local Dallas lake to another? Experienced, have own truck. Or, will pay for help, too. Need help prior to Oct 31 '10 as lake levels may be dropping...
Eagle Mtn to Ray Hubbard...I saw your signature on one of your posts...I'll follow up with you after we've launched onto Ray Hubbard. If you know of any other C25 owners that could recommend a hauler, would be much appreciated. We relo'd our 30' Islander to the Gulf several years ago, disappointed with the decommissioning handled by a local chandlery, so really prefer to do our own work rather than pay big bucks for someone else to break our masthead fittings, scratch our gelcoat, etc. :-)
I don't know anyone off hand with a C-25 trailer but there sure are a bunch of C-25's on our lake. Have you ever sailed at Hubbard? Great sailing lake.
You might try calling Robert at 214 341 1626, he does bottom jobs, has a trailer right by our lake. He might rent it, no idea.
See "Have trailer, will travel..." in the Swap Meet section of this forum (includes pics). My trailer is a fin keel trailer. I just splashed mine after painting the bottom, so I'm available. I can be there as early as Monday. I can do it for $1,100, payment in cash at haul-out, no checks. Most of that is transportation expense and 3 days of my time. Per Google maps, it's 662 miles from Nashville to Dallas, so that's 2 full days of driving plus a day for haul-out and relaunch. Problem is I need to be back here on Sat. Oct. 30 for a previous commitment. Can you do the haul-out on a weekday? If interested, call me at 6-1-5-4-3-0-1-4-9-6.
