To All, including the Board. Although the season is drawing to a close on Lake Erie, I am interested in beginning a discussion as to how to establish a local fleet of Catalina 25's in the Cleveland, Ohio area, and eastward to the Grand River area. There are a great many regattas held within these waters, and I believe that there were Catalina 25 fleet races held at Edgewater during Cleveland Race Week a few years ago. It would be great to have a half dozen boats enter local regattas as a fleet for the 2011 season. Every lead I have pursued whether listed in Mainsheet magazine or from the website listing a Cleveland Fleet and the local contacts has wound up at a dead end. I would appreciate any assistance available. Thanks,
I believe it takes only 3 boats to establish a fleet. When we set up Fleet 36 here, I was told we could pick the fleet number, any not already taken. contact the Association secretary for more info.
Local Fleets are the foundation of the Association. They can be used for racing and/or social and cruising groups.
We welcome all members who want to start a fleet and will do anything we can to help out. Please contact me with any questions and updates. Thank you John Gisondi </font id="navy"></font id="size2"></font id="Comic Sans MS">
