It's stunning how often you see a boat in dire circumstances without the hatchboards in place, and you've gotta hope the guy in the first video didn't puree any surfers with his prop. What were they thinking?
The first one said "Rogue Wave..." It wasn't. It was a <i>series</i> of big swells shortening up and breaking as they rolled into shoal water, as often happens just outside of an inlet. When it's happening, <i>stay inside</i> (or outside).
The second is really puzzling... The guy has a sail in the water, is luffing beam to the seas, and seems completely confused. Self-teaching?
