We have just joined this group and our membership is in the mail! In the summer we purchased a 2003 250 Wing Keel. We sail in Orient Harbor between the north and south forks of Long Island NY. My wife has been sailing most of her life on sub 22 foot sailboats that her parents owned. I have been sailing on those boats since I meet her about 10 years now. In the summer we hired a captain and sailed the 250 from the Rockaways in the ocean around Montauk to her new home in Orient. The trip took 31 hours of sailing/motoring, not a pleasure cruise. I just wanted to introduce ourselves to the group. We do have some questions, but that's for another day.

Thanks.

If you think you can, or think you can't, pretty soon you find out your are right! H.F.

Welcome! You will love the C250.

I suggest you edit your profile to show information about you and the boat. It will help people help you.

I moved to Mystic after losing my wonderful Admiral, and didn't go much of anyplace on Passage. For a collection of reasons, I switched to Sarge, and my new GF and I overnighted at Sag Harbor on her, and then explored around Shelter Island before "shooting" Plum Gut and heading home. (Time was limited, as usual.)

There are a ton of great destinations from your area and mine! I can give you some pointers on where to tie up or drop the hook here.

Welcome! I've learned quite a bit by just reading others posts but the few times that I've posted with questions I've received numerous responses in quick order. This site is a valuable tool that will save you time and money as well as providing information on upgrades that you might never have imagined.
