I just found a new free app, Whale Alert(not Whale Tracker). Its a free app tracking you know what. It also has an overlay for NOAA charts. And did I mention its FREE.

just go mariner mx chart plotting for $6 from play store. on my phone the gps does not update the position regularly. I'm going to try it with a tablet and see.
