For the past 2 Sunday afternoons I have sailed with a friend and fellow C-22 owner. Due to very brisk winds, we sailed with main and working jib only and came in first both Sundays. His jib is an almost new Kelly Hansen jib. With all of the previous discussion about K-H sails, I have to report that we have had excellent results with it.

My problem is not with the quality of the sails made overseas. It has everything to do with the people that lost their jobs and homes in the US because we buy foreign made sails. The only people that are going to dig the USA out of the slump are us, and we aren't going to do it buying foreign made goods.
Of course they are good sails, we taught them how to make them.
Understood. We do have a local guy who makes sails, canvas covers, etc. and I'm trying to figure out how to give him some business. He made custom covers for the club's race committee boat and a deck cover for my friend's Capri 26, and they turned out very well. For economic reasons, however, I decided to send my main off to Sail Care this year instead of buying a new one.
