I searched through the archives but didn't find a definitive answer as to what size whisker pole to use with a 150 hank-on genoa.
I have a lead on a Forespar ADJ 7-17 Twist Lock Whisker Pole that's supposed to be in good condition (I haven't seen it yet). The asking price is $210.
Will this work for my needs and is this a decent price? Anything I should look for if I decide to go look at it?
Gary - grab it quick! You need to extend it at least 15'. I spliced a thin wire from bridle to bridle so that, when extended to the correct length for the 150, this wire is snug against the pole - it makes sure you are extended correctly and makes it easy to trip on takedown.
Can you Pm me the contact info for who is selling it. I need to get some, erm, detailed info from him before telling you whether or not to go ahead with it...
