if i run my foreguy through a block at the base of the mast as mentioned in the tech article under 'POLE' ( http://catalina-capri-25s.org/tech/tech25/flywasp.asp ) should i then run it through my deck organizers and rope clutch?

Or install a fairlead, and put a cam cleat just aft of my window, starboard side, as shown in the C-25 parts manual ( http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/manbro/C25Partsmanual.pdf PDF page 25)

Thanks gents. almost ready to start flying a chute! never done it before, pretty excited!

Still fiddling with my spinnaker set up, but for now run the foreguy thru block at forward base of mast and then under any other lines going to cockpit and ends up thru one of the cam cleats I have just to the right of the port cabin top winch. Haven't put in a fairlead for it yet. That cleat does double duty. Unreeve the line in there when using foreguy as don't need it then. Set up is not super efficient, but it works.

I wrote that article a while back. If I recall we did run it back through the organizers to a cam cleat on the cabin top. If racing that line is adjusted many times, so a clutch cleat won't do the job.

If the chute is a symetrical spin then make sure you have another person or two on hand when you fly it.
