Our sail cover logos are well past their use-by date and we want to replace them. I've talked to the owner (Mark Taylor) of SailBoatCovers.com & he's willing to do whatever we want for the logo (at no extra cost). Does anyone have a photo of the C-250 logo with the "K" in it? I believe that was the right logo for our boat?
If anyone has a photo or graphic I can send him, that'll be great!

David, Below is a pic of sail cover but it does not have the K(keel). That is only shown on the sail. I would be happy to email or better yet text photo with out IPhones of the sail w/ the K!. Your choice. This is what I have so far: I can get you a better close up if you want. Steve A
David Check the links page on this site. (Over there on the left side). Theres a place called Sign Management Which is Sailboat Logos. When I replaced the old ones on my old 250, I got them from him. They were a little larger than the old ones so you can sew them over top the old ones and not be bothered with removing them. They were good quality.
Tom, I didn't find the link on the side, but did find it via a Google search of our site where other folks have used this same guy. After talking to him on the phone, he's really easy to deal with, and very helpful. I'm looking forward to getting the new panels on the sail cover.
I've decided to break from the herd & have him place the "K" under the C-250 on the logo. Who knows, we may end up with a one of a kind sail cover?
Steve, Its there already. Check the link page under "Miscellaneous and NEC Links" its the second one down. Called "Sign Management". Perhaps you could change the name of the link to Sailboat Logos, it might make it easier for others to find.
Our new logos showed up yesterday and we're getting ready to sew them on, then realized we only have polyester thread. Is this going to be OK, or do I need to go search for some nylon/dacron thread? Anybody know or had experience using polyester? We also have cotton, but that seems unlikely to survive for very long at all.
Looks like I may have answered my own question. According to this parachute site, nylon & polyester are very similar, but nylon stretches more while polyester has better UV resistance. Since the sail cover's not going to be under any appreciable load and is designed to keep UV off the sail, seems like polyester should work just fine, if not the better choice.
Thanks guys. It took longer than I wanted to get them sewn on, but since I was the seamstress, I think they turned out OK. Rita's injured her right wrist and the thought of trying to do any sewing didn't sound like a good plan. Which is unfortunate, since she's the daughter of a seamstress, but hey, c'est la vie, no?
My mom bought our sewing machine for me back when I had my first sailboat so I could do my own repairs on the sails. She purposely bought a heavy duty one that had limited stitching choices, but plenty of punch for sewing heavy fabric. I only bent one needle doing it, and it was my own damn fault for trying to feed the fabric too fast.
Nice! I may have to put that on my project list. I finally replaced my 13 yo main cover last month, no logo on it, found it on ebay for about $140, perfect fit.
