I found inflatable PDF's at Academy Sports & Outdoors, www.Academy.com for $49.88, they were marked 'Was $119.99, now $99.88, then marked Clearance $49.88'.

They are USGC Approved, with the Automatic Halkey-Roberts 6F Inflation System, with Manual Activation Pull or with back up Oral Inflation Tube. An attachment is also enclosed that will let you disable the Auto 'Immersion' inflation mode and use it with only the manual pull or oral inflation tube. There are two models The MD3031 as described above and a second newer unit labeled as "Classic" with Solas Reflective tape markings and a Whistle included. Both use a Mustang Re-Arm Kit MA7172 (best deal I could find was about $20.00. I wish I could find a less expensive Re-arm Kit!

This looks like a good value, and a good product in comparison to what else I have seen. When I was at another Academy store to find a 3rd PFD, another boater said he had found some similar units at Cabela's last year when they had a buy one get one free sale for a $100. So it looks like these deals may be sparce, but they can be found. I couldn't find this sale on line, best bet may be to call your store and ask the clerk to look and see if they have them.

Be sure and verify what you are looking for! The Manual ONLY Model MD3003 LOOKS just like the Manual/Automatic Model MD3031, (the box on the front of the package is checked).

I bought the last two a one store, another store had none left and third store had 12 left. They have another Inflatable PDF on sale for $79 but it didn't look as good as the one on Clearance. I do not have any relationship with Academy

They are gone now! At least online. Maybe carry at the local stores.

Steve I could only find them in the stores, not online. Scott I was looking for one more automatic pfd this evening. I could only find 12 of the on-sale manually activated pdfs at the Academy store at
5836 N Tarrant Pkwy & 377 (@ Denton Hwy) Fort Worth, TX 76137 (817) 605-4000.

I couldn't find any at Grapevine, Burleson, Westover Hills, Hulen Mall, Arlington or NRH.
Hope that helps, but if you are still looking it may be worth a phone call to another store.

Just make sure their activation cartridge has not expired -- the cost of replacing cartridges could offset the sale price.
