When we first purchased JD, we slept in the aft berth, that was before we installed Air Conditioning (the unit is mounted at the fwd port corner of the aft berth inboard of the closet.)

Now we sleep in the V berth, initially feet fwd, but the last few nights onbboard we have slept feet aft and I found it more comfortable (it removed the need to lower our dinning table)

Just curious about how you guys handle this issue.

I spent the night on the boat the other night. I usually sleep in the aft berth but, it was easier to clear the v-berth so there I was. I had my toes in the nose and slept terribly. At around 0300, I realized that my head was lower than my feet. The "bow high" issue we've discussed often. I turned around and slept like a rock (

I'm a v-berth man my self. I get claustrophobic in the aft berth and sometimes bump my head trying to check on that anchor for the fiftieth time. My wife and I sleep in the v my girl (6-7 yrs old) curls up on the salon both boys argue and fight in the aft cabin (15, and 10 yrs. respectively). My wife sleeps like a rock, I sleep like ash in the wind.

My son sleeps in the V Berth, my wife and I sleep on the L Berth table.

I sleep on the outside so I can hang my feet out, she is 5'4" so she fits well on the inside. We use sheets and a few pillows that normally get stored in the V- Berth. We sleep on the boat at least once a week, last weekend we did both Friday and Saturday night. Amazingly, despite the record temperatures in the Dallas area, at night it cools down enough to be comfortable on the water with no AC.
