I just received my new Northern Tool catalog and it's chock full of great bargains for the boat and the house. They featured several solar lights that would be perfect for our boats at anchor overnight and one that could be mounted on the masttop as a "permanent anchor light". Not street legal, but fine in a pinch.
They featured the 400 watt Airex wind generator, originally sold for $999, now on sale for $449. This generator is relatively small and quiet (doesn't sound like a helicopter). 400W is more than enough for most of us.
They feature several home generators in case of power failures or for the aftermath of a windstorm.
Check 'em out on line if you're in the market......
