Peter--I'm surprised your friend didn't have some stern "visitors" in a big RIB. If there's a sub going into or out of Groton, almost wherever you are, you need to be going <i>away</i> from it or you become a "vessel of interest." These trips are preceded by lots of announcements on Ch 16.
