I just cruised through the local CL and I come upon this Cat 22. Now I don't know the market for them but I know many of you had one. This I'm guessing has to be a later model no? I'm guessing in the 80's? Wing keel, Plexiglas hatch but $1500? What do you think?

Me thinks they didn't read what they wrote. (E.g., Where's Freport?)

It's hard to believe the price - I'd guess a typo. (or, his representation that it is a "beautiful boat" might be an exaggeration.

Admiral says it looks cute - and clean! Has a jib furler.
I mentioned that when I bought my old 16 foot daysailer, I paid more than that for boat, engine, clean sails with a Ronstan furler, trailer, 25# Danforth anchor and all the fixin's.

Maybe there's a divorce going on--often the opportunity of a lifetime.

(No, I'm not heartless... I just can't relate.)

I think it is an '89 25'.

My divorce was incredibly liberating, not only for me, but also for my bank account.

Craigslist has been known to have an occasional scam listing. Buyer beware.

Not a real unreasonable price considering no trailer, that's another $1,500. The wing keel came out on the C-22 about the same time as the C-25, so that makes it an upper 80's boat. Anyone considering buying and racing a C-22 should pass this one up. The wing configuration is not competitive, and the boat will be too heavy due to the extra factory built-in's added in the late 80's compared to the older hulls and the new Sport. My guess is it would make a nice trailerable (after buying one) pocket cruiser for weekend trips.
