I have an early 80's C 25 tall rig. It is a fast boat. I am interested in getting a new headsail for racing use only. Light to medium air on a narrow inland lake. Atwood lake in Ohio. I am looking for suggestions on sail material, cut, etc for a 155. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Mike - my preference would be a light weight mylar, "deck sweeper".

Mike,

If you buy your sail from a sailmaker that is known for making good racing sails, and then tell them where you plan to use it, and the kinds of winds you'll use it in, they'll know how to cut it.

Your closest Cleveland Lofts are Sobstad, North and Doyle...
Talk to Greg at Doyle: 216-486-5732
Richard at Sobstad - have to look the number up on the web...

I am not sure who to speak with at north. All three are reputable when making racing sails.

thanks for the input. I do have a year old quote from a reputable sailmaker somewhat familiar with the lake.

I'm sure there are some other ways to go fast......equip upgrades, etc that i should also consider.

thanks

mike
