kinda related....has anyone downloaded and used AVG 2013 ? My computer guru swears by AVG in general (the freeware version) and says its as good or better than some OS verions or the monthly pay ones. I know my Verison Secruity suite is a hog on CPU and memory.....any opinions? Sorry if this is way OT
I've used AVG with decent success. However, just as important as AV software is keeping your OS patched, being very careful about software (particularly Facebook apps) and most importantly, keeping your computer out of the hands of teenagers.

I have used AVG FREE for years, it's clean and effective and not a resource hog.
That Godaddy attack really hurt our business yesterday,
I've used several free ativirus programs but like AVAST and Microsoft Security Essentials the best. There's never a need for ridiculous system resource hogging stuff like Norton and never a reason to pay for it.
