I'm one of the lucky few who took delivery of an Evinrude 9.9 Hp 4 stroke extra long shaft outboard in 2000 - before they went through bankruptcy. The Bombardier HQ says the only way to get a shop manual for this outboard is to order one through an Evinrude dealer at about $50.00 Anyone know of a good alternative publisher?

Although I've never used a Clymer service manual, it was the only one I could find on the net that included a 2000 Evinrude 4 stroke. I found it at www.repairmanual.com.

<b>"Clymer Johnson - Evinrude 4-Stroke outboards 1994-2001 Repair Manual" $36.95</b>
Provides service, repair and maintenance information for 1994-2001 Johnson & Evinrude 4-Stroke outboard models. This new book will be available after November 2002.

Go the link below and cursor down about 7 manuals to get to the manual.

Don,

Thanks much for the info. Time to change the water impeller.
