Hi, I'm looking for ideas for a new boarding ladder that will fit / attach well with my Capri. Currently use a 5 step collapseble that I hook around my jib winch. Prefer something rigid that stands off from hull. Any ideas that will fit well? Thanks, Mike
It works well on my port stern quarter, HOWEVER, I need to extend the standoffs a bit, because the ladder is slightly inclined negatively, and I'd like it to sit vertical. However, my rather large frame had no problems grabbing the stern pulpit, to climb aboard. of course the downside to this, is the ladder isn't always attached.
My current solution is similar to Shnool, but probably not the same exact ladder. I hang mine off the stern outboard of my motor. I had to modify my standoffs by raising the outboard one and trimming the lengths to get the ladder to hang good. It's clumsy and in-elegant but it allows my 250 lbs to get aboard when I need too. I'm searching for a better solution, just haven't gotten there yet.
