Many of you have seen my prior notes on my wireless navigation setup that displays chartplotter and AIS targets on my Netbook, and can also wirelessly control my autopilot. In dry weather I keep the Netbook right in the cockpit using RAM mount parts:

I've been wanting to find a secure, out-of-the-way place to mount the Netbook inside the cabin for charging while at the dock, and also to have it available for viewing in rough or wet weather. In the past, when in cold or rough weather, I have put the boat on autopilot and sat in the companionway to maintain a watch. This position keeps my legs warm and dry in the cabin, and my new wireless autopilot remote will allow me to steer from there too. So I thought that mounting it in the galley would give me the opportunity to glance down and check the chartplotter periodically if it's too wet to have it outside.
I had a leftover shelf from Snapit that I had purchased for another project but ultimately did not use, so I bought an additional RAM mounting ball and fabricated a nice secondary mount for the computer. C250 owners will recognize where and how I did the mounting:
Nice job Rick, thanks for sharing this mod. Also, thanks again for all the great input on this subject and keep it coming. I'm still a month away from compiling it into an article.
