I had a good sail yesterday without a jacket. The wind was substantial and I had the 150 all the way out. I think I snagged something in the water as the boat slowed down as I was sailing back toward the marina. After some time I started the engine headed into the wind, doused the sails and after a while the boat slowed under engine power and I heard a noise. I shut down the engine hoisted the main to sail back to the slip. In the next few days, if there is enough water at the ramp, I'll pull the boat to see what is going on.

Life is not a dress rehearsal. You will not get another chance.
It sounded like an intermittent scraping noise. The last time out I was getting a lot of depth sensor issues and thought it might be something fowled on the keel. At that time I did start the engine and ran in reverse to maybe clear it and it seemed to work as the depth sensor begin working correctly again. The sensor is aft of the keel on the starboard side. I sailed several hours after that with no issues. This time there was no issues with the depth sensor just loss of speed and then the noise very quickly after that. I thought that if I continued with the prop turning I may just make it worse.
