Our club takes several high res pics during racing, however I've been racing on other's boats. Starting next month, I should accumulate plenty of action shots on my own.
Very cool.. Looking at Tango in the barn is like looking at a neater/cleaner version of mine at home. You folks with your neat gene make me quite green. I struggle to keep the floor swept.
Solomon... you haven't seen mine boat's deck... All the sanding of the blue bottom has left a really nasty blue toxic dust on everything in my pole barn. Walking through it has left blue foot prints all over my deck, and everywhere (despite using drop cloths, and sweeping regular) ... the boat will require a pretty thorough cleaning before spring for sure.
Either way, yours is a purdy boat, and glad to see I'm not the only crazy with a whole metal building dedicated to the curvy fiberglass lady for the colder months.

Harbor Freight has a $13 palm sander with a round vacuum connector that fits great with a ShopVac:
My ShopVac hose terminates with a 2' long stiff tube that was a bit awkward, so I added a 4' filter hose from a pool store. This hose has rubber tips that slip over the sander and shop vac, and give a lightweight, flexible connecter between the two.
I bought the purple 3M paper and used the cheap paper that came with the sander as a template to punch the same hole pattern, so the vacuum would pull all the bad stuff right out of the work zone.
The sander is small and lightweight (easy on your arms), but big enough for a 25' boat.
The last thing I had lying around was a smart power strip that would sense the on/off state of the master device, and turn the other devices on/off with it. So I plugged the sander into the master outlet, and then the vacuum would come on at the same time.
I used this setup very successfully two years ago, and will be using it again this spring. It was so successful for me that after an hour of sanding I had absolutely no contamination on my facemask, so I took it off.

My containment system malfunctioned today while sanding the boat, and it was Smurf city for me. I texted my wife to let her know I was on my way home, and mentioned that I looked like a Smurf. Of course the second I walked to the door she appeared with camera in hand, and the pic was on Facebook in seconds:

I think I know why it malfunctioned, and i expect it to work much better with some simple adjustments. If anyone cares, just request a description here and I'll describe a couple tricks. For now I'm out of time.
