Hi fellows,

I need a new main. I thought I had a line on one but it fell through.

The old main measured out to roughly:

Luff: 24'
Leach: 30'
Rope foot: 9'

Any one have one they want to get rid of? Or at least point me in a good direction?

Jeremy, go ahead and add the type of boat you have, TR of SR and you will be more likely to get a quicker response. Check a few of the other signatures and you may get some ideas.

When I was looking for used sails, one of the lofts advised that I really should stick with sails made for my boat. Some of what appear to be similar boats, like a J24 have similar size main sails, but they are cut and fly quite differently.

check the links section to the left for sail lofts: there are several used sail lofts included. Bacon sails is one that sticks in my mind: MMMM bacon!

The boat is an 80 model swing keel with std rigging. I'll ge that added to my signature.

Thanks for the heads up on running the right sail. I've seen several that would fit. Good to know they won't sail right.

I've found a used Rollly Tasker. Is that a decent sail or do I need to stay away?
