Any tips/ideas on setting up a hammock on my catalina 25?

My current setup is not ideal. I'm bottoming out. I slung some straps around the main (when it was down) and the genoa (when it was furled) and attached the hammock to the straps with some caribeaners. At first it worked great but I was real close to bottoming out. After a few uses the hammock stretched enough that I was rubbing my butt against the deck. I need to get my straps up higher on the mast. Right now they just rest on the top of the sail which is too low.

Any thoughts? Besides lose weight. If you have photos that would be ideal. I still have not figured out how to post photos.

I had the hammock out while at anchor. It was bliss.

use the halyards, with a loop around the mast, to keep it at the mast. Same for the forestay

Need photos-I have been trying to come up with a way. Wasn't sure if the main stays were heavy enough to hold my 230 pounds.

We use the mast-eye (whisker pole attachment) on the mast and a halyard on the forestay.

Hoist the one end up the forestay as far you need to. A carabiner will clip the hammock to the forestay quickly, and provide an attachment point for the halyard.

I do the same as Prospector.

I'm afraid that our only photos are not very instructive:

Our C-25 didn't have roller furling. My Pearson does, and I use parrel beads (from our asym spinnaker) to hang the hammock around the furler. The spinnaker halyard holds the bow end of the hammock up.

Nice tip Ape-X. How much weight can the main halyard take? I'm just a bit nervous. The forces involved are pretty big. When I gave it a trial run it appears the clip (pardon my lack of proper terminology)on the end of the halyard dug into the mast a bit and left scratches.
