OK but I will say it now rather than later. There are some places Marine tex works really well, like on a keel, or on Aluminum. Marine tex will not flow into an area very well. It will not move like the rest of the resin deck and will crack away from the resin deck, leaving water the ability to, again, get into the deck.. the problem you are trying to fix. Check the specs, gflex is a really hard resin but it moves.

Call West Systems and talk with them.

My opinion, worth what you paid for it.

I checked out the Gflex website, and came away with the impression that it would be too flexible. I'll give them a call and see what they recommend. Thanks.

Its not that its too flexible but rather its not brittle. I use it most of the time because of its slight give. Boats flex and so does the mast. Just watch your stays get loose when sailing. Marine Tex in my opinion will just crack. Its good for filling chips etc. but is way to brittle for under the mast. If the indentation is deep enough I would cut a piece of fiberglass that will fit inside the depression along with the G-Flex. This would give the area even more strength like putting re-bar in concrete.
