http://wordsmith.org/" ]wordsmith.org" target="_blank">The word " antipodes" showed up as the word of the day from wordsmith.org. It had a link to a site to find your antipodes (diametrically opposed point on the other side of the world) here: http://antipodr.com/

Mine's close the the French Southern & Antarctic Lands. Where's yours?

Also the thought of the day was the best one in a long time:

How beautiful it is to do nothing, and then rest afterward. -Spanish proverb <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">

At least you'd be warmer, and a whole lot closer to a large land mass!

Sometimes I feel like I'm about half as smart as a twig. I put my zip in and it the map showed 2 points: one off the west coast of Africa and one at the intersection of the equator and the international date line. I put in Paul's zip and got the same thing. What am I missing?

Just in case you needed to know...

To calculate the antipode of your location.

Take your Lat-n-Long
Convert the Lat from North to South or From South to North

Convert your Longigtude by subtracting it from 180

ie My Lat-n-Long is 26.2504N -80.2028W

translates to 26.2504S and 180-80.202W = 99.798
or 26.2504S 99.798E

My Antipode

It looks like I am sailing in the middle of the Indian Ocean-That’s OK.
